Synopsis
The film follows Trey as he spends the day celebrating his best friend's birthday.
Through vulnerable conversations between Trey and Malachi, hidden truths
are revealed that will heal the wounds in their friendship.

Why This Story
"As I was writing this story, I wanted to make sure that I focused on mental health and male friendship. Growing up as the only daughter in my household, I was able to quickly understand the different dynamics of male interaction based on my brothers and my father. I was always the sibling who was a lot more vocal about their emotions. Later on in my childhood I came to realize that society allowed me the privilege to be vulnerable in a way that the men in my household weren't. Not because they didn't want to, but because it's just what was expected of them.
In this film, I wanted to make sure that the bond between these two friends was so relatable that it encourages men to have the same level of vulnerability with other men in their lives. I truly hope that we can create an honest conversation surrounding mental health and male vulnerability in a way that allows us to connect with each other without the societal expectation based on our gender." - Eboni Nicole
